Emergency Dental Care

A dental emergency is stressful — you’re in pain, worried about lasting damage, and don’t know what to do. Call us. We keep same-day slots open at both clinics for exactly these situations.

What counts as a dental emergency?

  • Severe toothache that isn’t responding to over-the-counter pain relief
  • Knocked-out, loose, or displaced tooth (especially in a child)
  • Chipped or broken tooth with pain, sharp edges, or bleeding
  • Lost filling or crown
  • Swelling of the face, gums, or under the jaw (possible infection — call immediately)
  • Injury or trauma to the mouth
  • Abscess or pimple on the gums

What to do right now

Call the clinic nearest you immediately — Burnaby 604-431-0431 or Langley 778-366-2654. If it’s after hours, leave a message with your callback number and we’ll return it as soon as we can.

For a knocked-out permanent tooth — pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse it very briefly in milk, and try to put it back in the socket. If you can’t, keep it in milk and come in within 30 minutes — time matters.

Frequently asked questions

Do you see non-patients for emergencies?

Yes — walk-ins and new patients with emergencies are always welcome at both clinics.

What are your hours for emergencies?

We keep emergency slots open every weekday and Saturday morning. Thursdays we're open until 7 PM.

How much does an emergency visit cost?

A triage exam and x-ray is typically $150–$200, plus treatment costs which we'll discuss with you before proceeding. We'll direct-bill your insurance on the spot.

For after-hours dental emergencies, go to your nearest hospital ER for pain/swelling management, then call us first thing the next morning for follow-up.
